To provide full professional support for the establishment and maintenance and development of such systems and procedures relating directly to the management of the Occupational Health & Safety and the Environment. Ensuring standards are maintained at all bases in Europe and Africa. Support and develop HSE staff. Main duties and responsibilites include: •Ensuring, as a minimum, Dril-Quip (Europe) Ltd fully complies with all relevant legislation and best practice with regard to, occupational health and safety and environmental concerns. •Providing technical support and assistance to Managers to ensure compliance with duty of care and fulfil authorities and responsibilities with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System. •Establishing, maintaining, developing and improving safe working practices and standards of work with regard to Health, Safety and Environmental Policy. •Actively promoting Company HSE endeavours to all staff and other concerned parties. •Maintaining and monitoring all Company policies and practices with regard to Health, Safety and Environmental standards. •Reviewing all policies, systems and procedures and amending where necessary, in consultation. •Advancing Dril-Quip (Europe) Ltd Occupational Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System. •Ensuring reviews of all reported accidents/incidents, advising management and staff appropriately. Advise regulatory bodies as required. •Ensuring the maintenance of all records and documentation pertinent to a positive safety function. •Maintaining and promoting occupational health, safety and environmental awareness throughout the Company by means of Safety Programmes and Incentive Schemes as appropriate. •Liaising with external bodies and regulatory/advisory authorities as required. •Promoting good communication throughout the Company concerning safe working practices via regular visits to work sites and bases.
