We currently have 2 vacancies for the above role based in our Aberdeen office. Reporting to the OCG Cost Control Manager, the Cost Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of cost control and financial management information to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a fixed term role for 6 months, however this is likely to be extended. Some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •The preparation of monthly profit & loss and cash flow statements for the specific area of responsibility. •Manipulation and interpretation of data to produce management reports detailing variance analysis of actual costs vs. recoveries and actual costs to budgets/forecasts. •Reconciliation of payroll costs to recovery invoice, along with analysis and explanation of any differences. •Working in conjunction with other members of the OCG to produce monthly utilisation reports and forecasts of headcount. •Review and allocation of payroll costs to the correct OCG cost codes, resolving any issues or queries with regional contacts. •Ensure the efficient running of the month end close process, including the preparation of month end accruals and journals for entry into the company’s accounting system.
