We have an open position as Material Engineer in the business stream "Maintenance, Modifications and Operations North Sea", which is a part of the "Energy Development & Services" business area within Aker Solutions. The Materials Technology group of 10 well qualified engineers perform activities in engineering studies, detail engineering projects, and opearational assessments and evaluations. Travelling to offshore installations and to equipment vendors is a part of the scope. Role and responsibility: * perform material selections, define surface protection and evaluate insulation alternatives in engineering studies, detail engineering projects, and fabrication and installation activities * monitor equipment or material manufacturers * ensure that project and vendor deliveries are performed according to contract requirements * visit project sites and sub suppliers
