Overall responsibility for safe navigation and lawful, safe operation of the ship. Overall responsibility for the safety (ISM Code) and security (ISPS Code) of the ship and all personnel on board and to ensure that safety regulations and precautions are adhered to. Responsible to Marine Assets and authorities that laws and regulations are adhered to. Responsible to provide the services of the ship and its crew to the Offshore Manager, and assist in the timely execution of projects. Overall responsibility for the implementation and compliance with the Acergy Management System and for dissemination of applicable parts throughout the ship. Overall responsibility for conducting “Master’s Review” in accordance with the ISM code. Overall responsible, within their field of influence and authority, for ensuring that the ship’s operational and investment cost are kept within the Marine Assets approved budget for the ship. They shall also assist the Marine Superintendent in drawing up the budget for the ship.
