Responsible for managing key strategic direction for BG’s global drilling rig contracting activity to ensure access to suitable fleet capability to deliver forward business plan and growth aspirations. Maintain overview of forward demand requirements and develop suitable strategies to ensure BG Assets are ahead of competitors and responsive to market conditions. Responsible for maintaining key relationships with Well Engineering management team and maintaining the profile of rig contracting at Executive level. Key Accountabilities: - Maintain overview of BG current and future rig requirements - Maintain key interfaces with Assets and projects - Develop overall strategic rig contracting direction - Influence and where required mandate strategic direction - Deliver market intelligence across the Assets - Maintain relationships with all key rig contractors - Improve technical assurance capabilities
