Grotnes Verksted AS was founded in 1969, in Mo i Rana, Norway. The company soon began developing it’s flamecutting technology, based on raw materials from Norsk Jernverk AS, steel mill placed in Mo i Rana. The idea was to replace forged components and castings with multilevel flamecutting. Today Grotnes Verksted AS has developed into one of the leading flamecutting-centre within raw steelplate cutting. The unique flamecutting technology allows multilevel flamecutting in steel thickness up to 1 500 mm., with tolerances.
