A major element of PSCM’s scope is to set the strategic and business direction for E&P’s Materials Management activities (MM) and to deliver materials management services to the line with excellence. MM is accountable to work with the business to identify demand and to meet that demand in the most economical and efficient manner taking due regard to safety, reliability and quality. This includes deployment of standard process for inventory management and use of the BP P2P process to requisition and order materials and equipment. This position will manage the transition of Materials Management from Operations in the SPU’s to PSCM, optimize inventory and use third parties as appropriate to put in place an industry best in class materials management organisation, procedures and systems working with Operations and Major Projects and suppliers. The Global Manager of Materials Management will be located in either Sunbury, UK or Houston, USA and report to the Director, Operational Procurement.
