Electrical / Electronic Technician Jobs in Aberdeen, Scotland

Design, cost and/or build electrical/electronic equipment to meet the requirements of projects as and when directed by the Workshop Supervisor. - Carry out the work according to the job cards before returning to the Equipment & Logistics Supervisor. - Record all extra service/repair work for the equipment in the “Comments” filed of the job card. - Assemble, test and certify new systems when required in accordance with relevant procedures and standards. - Pass on certification details to the Certification & Administration Supervisor for input in the Asset Management System (AMS). - Diligently maintain awareness of current legislation, class rules and codes of practice relevant to electronic and electrical equipment used in the subsea and offshore environment. - Maintain the cleanliness and safety of his work area by means of good housekeeping. - Minimise costs of spares/components to be held as shop stock by regular review of quantity, quality and ongoing requirements. - Stop all unsafe work processes and/or shut down unsafe equipment. - Stop all work processes and/or shut down equipment which are not producing the standard of work required to maintain the product’s fitness for purpose. - Communications as necessary with projects to clarify design, fabrication or repair requirements. - Liaise with electrical/electronic components and equipment suppliers to price and source items required by Technip and requisition as necessary. - Work with and advise other technicians of different discipline and other personnel on electronic and/or electrical sub assembly in other equipment.
