Texas Oil Tools in short: design and manufacture pressure control equipment for the coiled tubing and wireline market
Texas Oil Tools was founded in 1978 with the primary objective being to design and manufacture pressure control equipment for the coiled tubing and wireline market. Within a short period, Texas Oil Tools became the leading manufacturer of Coiled Tubing pressure control equipment in this expanding market. Drexel Oilfield Services acquired Texas Oil Tools in 1987 and moved the operation to Conroe, Texas in 1989. Drexel Oilfield Services merged with Tuboscope in 1996 and Texas Oil Tools became a part of the Coiled Tubing/Wireline Products Group within the Tuboscope organization. Tuboscope merged with Varco in 2000 and Texas Oil Tools remained a part of the Coiled Tubing/Wireline Products Group within Varco. Texas Oil Tools headquarters is located in Conroe, Texas with offices in Lafayette, Lousiana, Aberdeen, Scotland, Dubai, Great Yarmouth, England, UAE, and Singapore.
