Management and co-ordination of all engineering activities relating to the wide range of Subsea and Surface equipment for both the After Market service /repair and new build Wellhead projects. Organising the manpower associated with the department engineering activities, including the final acceptance as per customer contract and purchase order. Perform the engineering design function by applying his technical expertise. Control all engineering packages of work, as directed by the department manager, relating to major and minor projects and have the responsibility for verifying compliance with applicable codes, standards including customer requirements for the specific engineering work through to the approval of drawings, designs and specifications. This function involves overseeing all design layouts, design calculations, design reviews and design verification. Over see and assist with design prototype testing to verify that the functional and design criteria are being achieved. Responsible for the supervision of allocated Technical personnel in an organised manner to ensure compliance with the Engineering Departmental Procedures which form part of the overall Quality System Manual. The Team Leader will be required to provide technical support to any other Subsea Department as required.
