Senior/Staff Reservoir Engineer Jobs in Houston, USA

* Provide reservoir engineering support for field development plans and be responsible for estimates of producible gas resources. Build and run reservoir models (material balance and/or simulation models) * Be actively involved in design of horizontal wells and estimation of well performance; give input to well stimulation design and provide modeling predictions and well test analysis * Support drilling, completion and stimulation schedules with timely reservoir and economic analyses; provide support for AFE packages on a regular basis * Perform reservoir characterization studies in cooperation with a senior geologist * Manage large amount of data in an effective and systematic manner * Be responsible for reporting of reserves under SEC rules * Be actively involved in competence building and net working with StatoilHydro advisors and external. Compile regional data and lessons learned * Maintain close contact with field engineers and occasionally be involved in well site operations for technical support and competence building * The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job generally in an office setting, but may include travel outside the office or on a commercial carrier. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. On occasion, the position may demand travel regular work or travel that is in an environment outside of reasonable expectations * All Employees are expected to work a normal 40-hour week. Standard Hours of Operation for StatoilHydro – USA & Mexico are 8:00am to 5:00pm * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and discern information. The employee frequently is required to sit or walk about the workplace. Required oversees travel requires traveling on an airplane, boat or helicopter.
