Managed Pressure Drilling – Product Line Manager Jobs in Aberdeen, Scotland

Manage the daily activities of Secure Drilling group within the Region. * Work closely with the Engineering Manager to recruit, train and develop the careers of the Regional Engineering team to ensure Secure Drilling requirements are met. * Work closely with the Regional Operation’s Manager to ensure wells are drilled safely and as designed. Ensure equipment specifications meet project requirements. Participate in HazOP and HazID reviews. * Main focus to support Secure MPD Drilling operations and technology. * Work closely with engineering & operations for the scheduling and coordination of all Secure Wellsite Engineering Activities. * Implement engineering and operations Training Program and Assist in coordinating Development of Regional Specific Training Material. * To monitor, highlight and provide training to the operators when required. * Obtain and evaluate feed-back received from the operational personnel and clients, and then define potential upgrades to the product. Continue to work with the software development team including R&D. * Business development and assisting in the expansion of regional acceptance. Preparation and input into commercial proposals and strategies including marketing. * Use the SecureSIM simulator to test the new features of the software, identify problems, and document any issues. * Prepare new algorithms to be implemented in the software with new routines and procedures. These will be passed onto the software development group for implementation. You will be working with them to review and make sure the procedures were correctly implemented. * Review the daily reports being received from the field for errors and lessons learned, as well as the data from the wells to identify new possible features to be implemented. * Prepare, coordinate and approve the Preparation of Proposals, Drilling Programs, and engineering reports. * Establish Manpower Needs and Manage Resource Optimization and Recruiting Process. * Assist in Developing Standard Processes and Procedures for the product line’s global requirements. * Maintain and ensure the global job history database is kept up to date will ALL jobs performed. * Assist with Drilling Hazard Optimization projects including those for Drilling with Casing as well as Solid Expandable Systems. * Conduct Activities within the Region as per WFT’s Global Processes and Procedures. * Work with Engineering Manager for the Optimization & Utilization of Engineering Resources on a Regional Basis for Secure Projects. * Support Operations and Business Development teams to develop and expand the business. * Ensure Regional Wellsite Activities are being conducted According to Global Engineering and Corporate Standards (such as EEP, Safety Management System, etc * Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
