Under direction of the Business Development VP, the individual identifies and leads development opportunities for future company growth; primarily in the area of marine contracting services critical to the success of the company and accomplishment of company goals. Essential Functions: * Be a key member of the Business Development team with strong knowledge regarding the marine contracting market, including related offshore operations, vessel operations and constraints, contracting models and business norms * Strong tendering and negotiation competence – understands how to effectively bid and win work, both technically and commercially. In addition, understands project execution and can play a key role in project kick-off and hand-over per the defined Project Execution Model (PEM). * Have a robust industry network with the ability to grow business through consultative selling and effective customer account management * Identify new projects and business opportunities at an early stage – create and execute definitive win strategies * Ability to coach internal personnel on the ins and outs of the marine contracting business * Provides input from experience and direct customer feedback into the strategic process
