Develop conceptual design and preliminary sizing of hull, mooring and riser/umbilical systems. Focus on semi-submersibles with a further growth within FPSO and Dry Tree Solutions. Perform global performance analyses of hull, mooring and riser/umbilical systems including hydrostatic stability and hydrodynamics. Perform stability, strength, fatigue, interference calculations. Perform floating structure mooring/tendon analyses and design of mooring/tendon systems. Perform marine transportation, installation and operability analyses. Coordinate and supervise scale model tests of hull and mooring systems in model basin and wind tunnel. Analyze results and validate/correlate with global loading performance predictions. Develop detail design of the selected concepts. Ensure all works meet company requirements and are in accordance with the project’s quality manual. Review information provided by client. Generate or coordinate the generation of riser/umbilical design documentation. Responsible for determining the general riser layout, configuration and key component selection. Execute and coordinate riser and umbilical global analysis and component design. Keep close interface with host vessel design group, pipeline design group and flow assurance group to ensure compatibility.
