Scientific Marine Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of British Maritime Technologies since April 1998, was founded in March 1990 to provide instrumentation, testing and consulting services to the Offshore and Shipping industries.The range of services Scientific Marine Services provides includes:
1. Design, fabrication and installation of permanent marine instrumentation systems;
2. Completion of sea trials and special instrumentation and testing programs on ships and offshore equipment;
3. Supervision of towing tank, wave tank and wind tunnel tests of ships, offshore equipment, and coastal processes; and
4. Engineering consulting in the areas of Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture and Coastal Engineering.
