Marlim Oil, Petrobras, - is the largest field located in the north-eastern part of Campos Basin, 110 km offshore in water 650 to 1050 meters deep. The field covers a total area of about 130 square kilometers (50 square miles).



The Marlim Oil field development by operator Petrobras is located in Campos Basin offshore Brazil in water depths of 1,050 meters 3,444 feet .

Petrobras with its partners started development of the Marlim Oil field in 1985. The recoverable reserves are estimated to 170,000,000 mmboe. Number of subsea wells are 147. The production year is 1998 with a daily production estimate of 500,000 bopd. The Marlim Oil project is based on a subsea solution with Marlim Oil Fixed Platform topside solution. The development cost is in the order of $600,000,000 with an estimated field life of years.
