Grane - is located around 185 kilometres west of Haugesund, where sea depth is 127 metres.

Glitne - lies in blocks 15/5 and 15/6 in the Sleipner area of the Norwegian North Sea, about 40 kilometres north-west of Statoil's Sleipner East development. The water depth in the area is approximately 110 metres.

Gullfaks South, Rimfaks and Gullveig Oil - lies in block 34/10 in the northern part of the Norwegian North Sea. Block 34/10 was awarded in 1978 to three Norwegian companies, Statoil (operator); Norsk Hydro; and the former Saga Petroleum.

Goliat - oil discovery, the field is located 50 km South east of Snøhvit field

Gullfaks - lie in block 34/10, in a water depth of 135m. The Gullfaks Satellites will produce more than 260 million barrels of recoverable oil and condensate in the first phase. Production will plateau at 125,000 barrels per day.

Jotun - is located on the Utsira High, between the Balder and Heimdal fields, approximately 200km west of Stavanger. Average water depth in the field area is 126m. Geologically, Jotun consists of the Elli, Elli South and Tau West structures.

Kristin Deepwater - located in the south-west part of the Halten Bank, Kristin is the largest of several substantial discoveries made by the former Saga Petroleum company south and west of Statoil's Åsgard development.

Mikkel Deepwater Project - field lies in 220m of water, on Halten Bank East, which is about 40km south of Åsgard's Midgard deposit and 40km north of Draugen. The field was discovered in 1987 and it straddles blocks 356407/5 and 6407/6 in the Norwegian Sea.

Njord - is situated on Haltenbanken, in blocks 6407/7 and 6407/10, 130km north of Kristiansund and 30km west of the Draugen field. Licences were awarded to block 6407/7 in 1985 and to block 6407/10 in 1987.

Norne - Hydrocarbons in the Norne field are located in the Lower- to Middle-Jurassic sandstones, which are of a good reservoir quality. An oil zone 110m thick with an overlying gas cap make up the hydrocarbon column.

Oseberg Sør - field was discovered in 1984, when Norsk Hydro drilled well 30/9-3. The field is located 115km from the shore and 13km from the Oseberg field, in a water depth of 101m. The field is operated by Norsk Hydro.

Ormen Lange - deepwater field located in the Norwegian Sea, approximately 140km west of Kristiansund. Estimates show that Ormen Lange is the second-largest gas discovery on the Norwegian Shelf.

Snøhvit Gas - gas field development comprises three fields - Snøhvit, Albatross and Askeladd. These lie in the Barents Sea, about 140km north-west of Hammerfest in northern Norway. The fields were discovered in 1984 in 250m to 345m of water.

Snorre - field lies in blocks 34/4 and 34/7, approximately 200km west of Floro, in Norway. Block 34/4 was awarded in 1979, while block 34/7 was awarded in 1984.

Sigyn Gas - is located in block 16/7 in the Norwegian North Sea. The discovery well is 12km south-east of the Sleipner A platform. Sigyn field was discovered in 1982. Esso Norway operates the field, with a 40% interest.

Skarv - combined oil and gas development, with 80% of the reserves gas and the remaining 20% liquids. The resource base consists of hydrocarbons from several different reservoirs

Visund - field was developed using a semisubmersible steel drilling, production and quarters platform, connected to a subsea completion system. The wellheads for 21 wells are installed under the platform, with a separate template for two other wells, located 8km
